The Board Room video from the development team had only the classic “when it’s ready” line for when to expect the game. In fact, they even self-describe it as being “pre-pre-pre-alpha gameplay.” However, the most recent video we saw of the game in action still looks very, very early. It might come early, but better to assume the worst-case scenario.Īn earnings call at EA, in which Andrew Wilson stated that the game “will launch soon,” was later followed up by leaker Tom Henderson claiming that the game was already in playtesting, which could bode well for a 2022 release. If we had to guess - and at this point, guessing is the best anyone can do - we’d hope for a late 2022 release to keep expectations in check.
#SKATE 3 PC GAMEPLAY FULL#
Developer Full Circle hasn’t even given us a year yet, meaning that we probably still have a long wait ahead of us before we’ll be grinding and kick-flipping on our consoles anytime soon. The best skateboarding games of all timeĪgain, we’ve already been waiting for over a decade - and now over a year - since Skate was officially announced as being in development, and yet we still have no indication of when it will be done.Even so, there are still a few details we’ve learned about what this next Skate game will look like and when we can hope to finally play it. First announced way back during EA Play in 2020, there has been precious little information about this highly anticipated return to a more grounded style of a skateboarding video game. Thankfully, we do know that Skate is happening.

However, no game has quite filled the void that Skate filled. If they released a Skate 4 with a larger unified map and better assets and lighting, that game could easily land in the 8s or 9s. The acting is not serious, it's kinda funny and avoids being cheesy.

Even if somebody never played these on their respective consoles, they should definitely give it a try on the Xbox One.
#SKATE 3 PC GAMEPLAY SERIES#
I know people are disappointed that the series is basically dead, but Skate 3 on the One X is the best thing anybody could ask for with no remaster in sight. The servers are still up and I got matched up online faster than in Halo 5. This shit is in 4K HDR, looks good, plays well and it's SKATE! I had the same idiotic smile on my face when I first played Skate 2. Maybe it was all nostalgia, along with having a brand new badass Playstation 3.Īfter I was reminded of this game I hopped onto the One X and I found Skate 3 on EA Access. My 14 year old brain didn't have the attention span that would've given this game justice and forgot about it. The music was great, the challenges were fun.Īfter that, I got into some other games with some friends and played tons of MP Uncharted and other stuff. Even if you fucked up the physics took care of that and amused you with some great ragdoll cement licking. Then, one day after another 4 hour session I just did that thing and it was cathartic. There was a thing that I couldn't do because I sucked. Again, I am in no way deep into skating games, I can't analyze them, I don't know shit, I just got that game when I was 14 and I played the shit out of it on the PS3. My parents got it for me, mainly because it was finally a game I wanted that didn't literally had "BAD COMPANY" in it's fucking game. I just really fucking liked the Skate 2 demo. I have no connection to skater culture or the sport itself. After the Tony Hawk announcement I was reminded how much time I sank into a game that I got for my birthday simply because the demo was absolutely crazy.
